Poisoned, Bedridden In 2013 Taught Me A Hard Lesson In Life - Ball J

Ghanaian Beat Maker and Hip-hop Act, Ball J has recounted how he got poisoned and became bedridden for months when he recently granted an interview to Nana Osei Kesse, aka Mr Bonez, on Kessben TV. Ball J revealed he got drugged in 2013 when he took a friend’s drink whiles shooting a music video for his new artiste. The ‘Lapaz Toyota’ producer explained that he has learnt some hard lessons from that experience and this has made him more refined and discreet. He disclosed that he has gotten over the situation and he is now back to the music scene with new energy and fresh ideas. He also said he wants to fully concentrate on making hip-hop music and hopes to make significant impact with his style of music not only in Ghana but the outside world. He used the opportunity to also talk about his new hip-hop single, “Papa No Nie” and explained that the track is just to empower and motivate men to be successful.

Obour was a Failure at MUSIGA - Shatta Wale

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has added his voice to the many artistes who think the president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Obour, failed to meet their expectations. Speaking on Happy FM's Showbiz Xtra on Saturday, October 12, Shatta Wale said Obour was a failure at MUISIGA adding that he would score him zero for performance. “People are afraid to say the truth but you know how straight forward Shatta Wale is. Obour was a big-time failure as the president of MUSIGA and he knows himself," he said. According to Shatta Wale, musicians in Ghana are suffering because MUSIGA is doing nothing to help them. He explained that there are a huge number of musicians who are doing so well but have nothing to show for it. “I am really rich but what about the other musicians? The young people and the fast-rising ones, what will happen to them in the future?” he asked. Shatta Wale said Obour should have gone into teaching instead of running the union. Rapper Kofi Mole says he is thankful to his ex-girlfriend for breaking up with him. Speaking on The Gist with MzGee, he revealed that his hit song ‘Don’t Be Late’ was birthed because of the heartbreak. According to the artiste, the song, that has gained him more popularity than he expected, was recorded within an hour after he walked into the studio to nurse his broken heart. Although he did not see it before, Kofi Mole said that he believes the breakup is a blessing in disguise. “I’ve always been thanking her for it, she made me someone I’ve always dreamt to be,” he added. The rapper alongside ‘Don’t Be Late’ has released four other love-inspired songs on his debut EP, ‘Aposor Love’.
